Romelle is a Detroit-raised painter and mixed-media artist based in Guadalajara, Mexico. Her practice is shaped by her upbringing in Detroit and has evolved through her movement across the United States and into Mexico, where her work has taken on a greater sense of warmth and fluidity. Romelle’s background spans advertising and muralism; in 2019 she co-founded Babe Walls, a mural festival supporting women and nonbinary artists.

Romelle’s solo exhibitions include K Contemporary, BRDG Project, Bell Projects and TAXI Residency Projects in Denver, CO; JupiterFab in Guadalajara, Mexico; Casa Camino in Mexico City, Mexico; Art Ovation in Sarasota, FL; and Ponyride x PLAYGROUND DETROIT in Detroit, MI. She has exhibited in group shows at K Contemporary in Santa Fe, NM; Yellow Cube Gallery in Paris, France; Art Gotham in NYC; RedLine Contemporary Art Center and Alto Gallery in Denver, CO; and Marie Jose Gallery and Gallery at the Station in London and Frome, UK, respectively. She has participated in international exhibitions and art fairs, including the Biennial of the Americas and AQUA Art Miami during Art Basel.

Romelle earned a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art and a Bachelor of Science in Advertising, with a minor in Technology, Arts & Media, from the University of Colorado Boulder. She has lectured at the University of Colorado Anschutz and the University of Denver.
